Patio Questions
How much does a new patio cost?
It depends on the size, the stone you choose and how much groundwork is needed. A small sandstone seating area is a very different job to a large porcelain terrace. We measure up and give you a clear price, free of charge.
Porcelain or Indian sandstone, which is better?
Both make a good patio. Porcelain is hard-wearing, resists stains and needs very little upkeep. Sandstone is a natural stone with more variation in colour and texture, and benefits from the odd clean. We will show you both and talk you through the difference.
How long does it take to lay a patio?
Most patios take a few days, depending on the size and how much ground has to come out. You will know the timescale when we give you your quote.
Can a patio be laid in winter?
Yes, in most weather. We avoid laying in hard frost or heavy rain, and plan the work around it.
Do you take the old patio away?
Yes. Old slabs, rubble and soil are cleared and taken away as part of the job.
